Here’s a rule. When a teacher says “Finish your Navi review sheets and then I have an exciting announcement for you,” don’t jump for joy and rush to finish your sheet. Not always does the same announcement give equal excitement for a teacher and a student.
So this Monday when Morah Schiffman gave us a Chumash review booklet with about a gazillion questions and then told us to hurry and finish it all so she can share her exciting announcement with the class I didn’t exactly leap out of my seat. To be more exact I moaned slowly took out my Chumash and spent five minutes looking for the right perek. Then I grumbled and moaned some more before I actually got started. Turns out no matter how fast even the smartest girl in my class was working there was no way anyone could finish a gazillion questions before recess so my teacher called for us to stop when I was only on the fifth question. Yippee!
