Our mission
Mishpacha is a weekly conversation between Jews who care deeply about their world and about each other.

Mishpacha was founded in 1987 on a dream. Publisher Eli Paley and editor Rabbi Moshe Grylak launched a phenomenon that would change the landscape of communication, journalism, and entertainment in the Orthodox Jewish world.

From a Hebrew-language publication in Israel, Mishpacha grew into an English-language weekly reaching communities across North America, Europe, Israel, and beyond, covering news, politics, culture, lifestyle, and the human stories that define Jewish life today.

What started as a single weekly is now a family of publications, more than a dozen podcasts, and a digital archive of 1,100+ issues. And we’re just getting started.

Unity across streams
Chassidic, Yeshivish, Sephardic, Modern Orthodox. One conversation that respects all voices and refuses to flatten them into one.
02
Excellence in writing
We hold our journalism to the highest editorial standards. Every paragraph is fact-checked, every sentence earned.
03
A global perspective
From Jerusalem to New York, from London to Melbourne, from Antwerp to Buenos Aires. The Jewish world is our beat.
04
Human stories first
Behind every headline is a person, a family, a community.
As good as our word

Conversation worth bringing
to the table.
