Madame Chamberlaine: What a Day!

School was starting tomorrow and there I was, lying in bed, and unable to fall asleep. I tried everything: counting sheep, saying Shema like 30 times, and even singing myself to sleep with every song I’d learned since kindergarten. No use. So I went downstairs where my mother and Madame Chamberlaine were chatting.

Madame    Chamberlaine:    What    a    Day!

I heard screaming and I opened my eyes to see Shuli all dressed in her school uniform her hair brushed into a side ponytail shrieking something.

“What?! Be quiet and lemme go back to sleep” I mumbled.

Then it hit me that this was the first day of school!

I jumped and grabbed the alarm clock.

“SHULI! WHY DIDN’T YOU WAKE ME?! THE BUS WILL BE HERE IN FIVE MINUTES!”
