All Kinds of Kids: Fearless Faigie

It was snowing hard. Not big, fluffy, sunny snowflakes waiting to be rolled into snowmen and ladies. But hard, icy snowflakes that were cold and wet. The wind was blowing cold, wet, and icy too. Fearless Faigie was busy pulling her boots out of the winter box in the hall.

“I’m going to play in the snow. And it’s not freezing” answered Faigie. “We’re only in Cheshvan. It doesn’t get really cold until Kislev. Besides I’m not afraid of a little cold.”

“Today is a lot of cold!” said Shim. “You don’t even have gloves!”

“Can’t find them; don’t need them” said Faigie cheerfully. “See you! I’m off to make a snow girl!”

Faigie’s brother and sister tried to watch her through the window but the day was too gray and the snow too swirly and they couldn’t see the yard.
