Curious Jr. — All about Magna-Tiles

When you discover something awesome, what do you do? Share it with absolutely everyone you know, right? That’s what happened to Shlomo Weitman, who happened to be visiting the US when he saw a toy he thought his children would like. They didn’t like it. They LOVED it! He was so impressed that he eventually began importing Magna-Tiles to Israel so this amazing toy could reach many more kids. Here he is, telling us all about the toys with the pull.

Curious Jr. — All about Magna-Tiles

1. First of all for those who aren’t familiar with this toy what are Magna-Tiles?

They’re 3-D magnetic building tiles. They look like little plastic pieces of colored triangles and squares that have magnets inside them around the edges. There are three sizes of triangles and two sizes of squares and they come in six colors.

With Magna-Tiles even a young child can create a whole city. The angles are always perfect and with just a simple pull of the magnets the pieces attach. The buildings will always stand perfectly straight and balanced. Magna-Tiles are unique because they always attract at their edges even when they’re flipped around.
