Experience Needed; Please Call…

Hi Simi, it’s me. Racheli. What’s up? How was your navi test?…Simi, you did NOT fail. I’m on a bus right now, on my way to chesed. Oh, it’s all right, I guess, but nothing exciting? They don’t even speak a word of English, but they have a million dishes for me to wash. Yeah, they’re cute, but I kind of wish I had a exciting chesed. Did you hear what Soroh Leah she does? She dresses up as a clown and goes around the hospital to cheer up the children. Now THAT’s a real experience.

Experience Needed; Please Call…

“What’s this?” Racheli exclaimed as the woman smiled and left. “Simi she just gave me — wait let me read it — oh my gosh she gave me a wedding invitation! You think she’s getting married?” She laughed. “Yeah I assume it’s her grandchild. Maybe even great-grandchild. Anyway how weird is that? I mean to invite a total stranger to your simchah! …When is it? Does it matter? … Oh fine if you really want to know it’s … um let’s see … tomorrow! Whoa talk about last minute. How in the world can she arrange her seating if she’s still handing out invitations the day before? I’m telling you people here are strange. … Well if you want I’ll bring it back to the dorm to show you guys. Maybe we can even hang it up together with the funny posters Tzivia found in Meah Shearim. Oh my gosh Simi I just missed my stop!”
