Interview: Camp Trip Planner

Have you ever gone on a camp trip — maybe to an amusement park or a bowling alley? Did you ever wonder what went on behind the scenes to make those trips organized and fun? That role is often filled by a trip planner, someone who does just that, planning ahead so campers have a great time on their outings. Mishpacha Junior talks to a trip planner, Ariel Fishman, about this exciting job.

In some camps the head counselors take on this role but in other camps it’s a special position like in my case. The camp I founded and plan trips for Ramote Expedition takes teenage boys on hiking biking and canoeing trips through New Hampshire Vermont Maine and New York. A trip planner’s job involves lots of complicated details but it’s always exciting!
