After a big heavy meal one sure needed a yummy wafer to settle the stomach and calm digestion. So… out rolled the dessert cart loaded with cornucopia-shaped wafers filled with all sorts of creams fruit pastes and iced puddings. What a luxurious sweet table!
Fashionable French women gathered in the cafés to gossip over ices ice cream and mocha. Yum. Double Yum. There doesn’t seem to be any written info about their eating receptacles although there’s a sketch showing a woman licking something out of a handheld container.
