With this tablescape, I wanted to encapsulate some of the magic of Purim. It’s a time to join with family and friends and celebrate the joy of our salvation. The funky colors, shapes, and textures on this table play off this theme, with the black marble as a base to make all the elements pop.

The flowers here were sourced from Trader Joe’s (and my own backyard).
I placed some mini orchid plants for an extra pop, while the chrysanthemums, alstroemeria, ranunculus, and background foliage add depth of color.

The colors for the scheme were based on the beautiful green and blue placemats. Though Purim is sometimes associated with brighter and deeper tones, I wanted to keep the mood lighter, so I went for paler colors. To tie everything together, I used these chunky Tiffany-blue candlesticks, along with a variety of soft muted candles. The flowers and fruit add color, while the dishes and napkins are more muted, creating an overall collected look.
