—Moishe Mishkowitz, quoting Mesivta of Long Beach Rosh Yeshivah Rav Yitzchok Feigelstock ztz”l at last week’s Long Beach dinner marking the first yahrtzeit of the Rosh Yeshivah. Mr. Mishkowitz said he once asked the Rosh Yeshivah why bochurim seemed to be dependent on him, asking him for direction even in seemingly trivial matters. The Rosh Yeshivah answered that being a mechanech is not limited to teaching Torah, but includes roles way beyond the classroom.
