She hadn’t been imagining it. There were stares and snubs and total utter silence. Nobody was mean or nasty. But nobody talked to her either.
Sheva willed herself to hold it together. She needed to be completely calm when she talked to Adina. Regardless of what she thought about Adina’s choices Adina was very angry and in a lot of pain and she had to do this carefully.
So Sheva ignored the snubs and the silence and remained singularly focused on her goal: Find an opportunity to talk to Adina alone.
