The Bear Family

Hello out there. My name is Nonny Bear. It’s short for Yochanan. Everyone calls me Nonny. Can you hear me?

The Bear Family

 “Nonny! It’s time for school!”

That’s Gavriel Farber calling me. He’s my helper. I have cerebral palsy which means my brain doesn’t look exactly like yours. Because of that I need a wheelchair and some parts of my body hang a little funny. My wheelchair is electric which is awesome except I can’t use the electric part on Shabbos. Maybe that’s a good thing though because Gavriel needs to do something to earn all that money my parents pay him for helping me.

I call my wheelchair Turbojet. Oh I know my wheelchair is no airplane but I still feel like it makes me fly. Also since I spend more time with my wheelchair than I do with my own family I figured I ought to give it a name like you would a best friend. Sometimes I call him TJ for short.

“I’m coming!”
