What happens to the chometz that you can’t finish before Pesach? Daddy has the rabbi sell it to a gentile for Pesach. In Eretz Yisrael almost all the food stores are owned by Jews and it’s not just food stores — it’s the factories that make the food. Big factories have boxes and boxes tons and tons of chometz. What do they do before Pesach? They do what your father does; they sell the chometz to a gentile.
Hussein Jabar is an Arab who lives in Abu Ghosh. During the year he is the manager of a large hotel but every Pesach he becomes the richest person in Israel because he buys the country’s chometz! For one week he owns $150 BILLION worth of chometz!
