Recording Happiness was created to bring joy into young patients’ lives through music. We give children who are suffering with a serious or chronic illness the unique opportunity to record their very own song, free of charge. We give the patient the option of recording music in my studio, or right there, in their hospital bed. Our goal is to allow these children to have a moment of relief and excitement in their difficult lives. We’re located in Clifton, New Jersey.
Sara how did you come up with such an amazing idea?
I have always loved music and was particularly interested in recording. Having spent much time in the hospital as a patient myself I had a lot of time to think about what I could do for other sick people after I recovered. I discussed my idea with many patients doctors and nurses and I was met with a very enthusiastic response. That’s when I decided that I would take action and put my idea into fruition!
Baruch Hashem you’re able to do this for others. You really know firsthand what makes a sick child smile. Do you work with friends?
Right now I work alone with the help and ideas of my friends and family members especially my grandmother.
