Here, all I needed was the rhyme, and that word ended up being what jumps out at people.
Mordechai Shapiro was getting close to completing his album, and the song “Hakol Mishamayim” was almost done. Somehow, though, I didn’t feel it was taking off anywhere. At the last minute, I inserted the word “Sababa” into the song, as a rhyme with “Abba.” Yitzy Waldner, the producer, and Shapiro both loved the change. “Sababa” is a slang word in Hebrew, and its’s what made the song so contemporary and cool. Pretty much every artist wants to be contemporary, but it’s not easy to achieve. Here, all I needed was the rhyme, and that word ended up being what jumps out at people.
