Chocolate Mint Balls
Chocolate Mint Balls

This delicious and super-healthy snack was inspired by Fuzzy Kisses, a coconut-covered date ball sold by a local health food store. We ditched the coconut and added cocoa and mint for what tastes like a cheat but is packed with completely nutritious ingredients. If you want to really go for the gold, you can press each ball down on a flat surface and pinch the top to create a Hershey Kisses shape.

YIELDS 2 DOZEN

  • 2 cups pitted dates (you can also use 1 cup raisins)
  • 1 cup raw nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashews, or a mix of all three)
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp mint extract Place all ingredients into a food processor. Pulse until a sticky dough is formed. Roll into small balls. Refrigerate in a sealed container.
