Happening in…Mitzrayim

Following a long winter zeman, students from Yeshivas Beis Dovid in Yerushalayim decided to fulfill the mitzvah of Pesach night literally, and actually traveled to, and left, MITZRAYIM, continuing on to Har Sinai. We are taught that, while reciting the story of Yetzias Mitzrayim on Pesach night, one must view himself “k’ilu hu yatza m’Mitzrayim — as if he himself left Mitzrayim,” and although it’s a high standard to meet, the talmidim at Beis Dovid were undaunted. Replete with meaningful divrei Torah from their rosh yeshivah, Rav Avi Weisenfeld, the trip for these post-high school American boys was an invigorating energy booster, as well as an inspirational revisitation to where it all began.
