YIELDS ABOUT 24

  • 1 6-oz (170-g) pkg pastrami
  • 1 8-oz (225-g) pkg cocktail franks
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp hot paprika
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Preheat oven to broil.

In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and seasonings. Set aside.

Cut the pastrami slices into thirds. Wrap a slice of pastrami around a frank and insert a toothpick to keep it in place. Place into a 9×13-inch (23×33-cm) baking pan. Repeat with remaining franks and pastrami.

Sprinkle the wrapped franks with the brown sugar mixture. Spray well with cooking spray.
