how are you feeling?,By the time you are reading this, summer is well underway. If you are up in the country or camp, perhaps you are having a blast and feeling great. Maybe you are feeling lonely or bored. This time of the year also means the Three Weeks, bringing feeling of sadness and loss. Feelings are a large part of our experience, affecting the way we behave and even the way we think. Come journey into this complex inside world and who knows? What you read might even change how you feel about feelings.

You know that feeling you get when you think someone’s waving to you and you wave back only to realize they are waving to someone behind you? All of the sudden you get that feeling in the pit of your stomach and your mood falls. Why? To understand you need to take a look at the definition of the word “feelings.” Feelings: an emotional state or reaction. Oh so feelings have something to do with emotions related but not the same. What are emotions? Well emotions are defined as a natural automatic state of mind coming from one’s situation mood or relationships with others. Meaning feelings are a reaction to where you are physically if you are feeling up or down mentally and who you are with. So emotion triggers a feeling and a physical response.
