My sister-in-law Brenda

Ever since my mother-in-law was niftar about 15 years ago, my sister-in-law Brenda has shouldered the responsibility of caring for my father-in-law, who has severe medical issues, as well as mothering her four younger sisters.

She has since married off two as if they were her own children and continues taking care of them like a mother — from holding their hand through pregnancies to taking care of them as kimpeturins.

Recently, she moved out of her house and into her parents’ house to stay with her single siblings, as her father is in America waiting for a liver transplant. This is just a drop in the bucket of what my selfless sister-in-law and her husband do. I’d like to Make Her Day with a gift certificate for a day at the spa. Of course that’s insufficient for the hakaras hatov that I have for her, but it’s a good start.

Mishpacha:

We’re so moved by Brenda’s dedication to her family and are grateful to a generous reader who’s sponsored a $100 gift card to a local spa.
