1605,“Want a tour around the Houses of Parliament?” a voice whispers in my ear. I turn around to see an English bobby (policeman) in a blue uniform and a baton in his left hand. It’s not that long ago since I took a tour of the Houses of Parliament: I vacationed in England two summers ago. But I’m sure that four hundred years ago, they looked very different.
“What letter?” one of the men calls out.
Is this the tip-off that the policeman told me about?
“A letter sent to Lord Monteagle warning him to keep away.”
