Mrs. Goldklang helped arranged for meals to be delivered to my bedside, and each time she arrived at the hospital with a patient, she made sure to come and check on me. I was in isolation, and the door to my room had to remain closed at all times. Mrs. Goldklang pleaded with the nurses to allow her one peek, just so I could see a familiar face. That quick peek felt like direct message from Hashem, letting me know that I wasn’t really alone.

At one point during my hospital stay I was extremely hungry but couldn’t eat the hospital food. Mrs. Goldklang snuck into my room and gave me her own muffin, the only thing she had brought to eat for lunch. That muffin literally saved me.

Mrs. Goldklang was much more than a first responder — she became my support and best friend. She was with me throughout my COVID journey, and is still there for me now, almost a year later. When I was released from the hospital, Mrs. Goldklang called and came to visit. She even brought me a gift — a beautiful lotion set. But the real gift was the hope and optimism that she brought me, which carried me through my post-COVID journey. She still calls me today to see how I’m feeling and how she can help.

Mrs. Goldklang is not just a paramedic or a friend. With her love and kindness, she is a messenger from Hashem.
