Mic Drop: My Shabbos Table

"The feeling that these songs are passing from generation to generation is special to me”

Mic Drop: My Shabbos Table
What do you like to sing with the family on a long Friday night?

“I love Ari Goldwag’s melody for Kah Ribon, a very beautiful tune that fits the words perfectly, and we sing that as a family. Believe it or not, my kids still love to sing with me the zemiros my father used to sing. On Friday nights, my father’s tune for Menucha V’simchah, and the classic upbeat chassidish “Me’ein olam haba, me’ein olam haba, me’ein olam haba yom Shabbos menuchah” are still sung and harmonized around our table. The feeling that these songs are passing from generation to generation is special to me.”
